“Innovation is the many years of study and analysis, which then finds itself in the path of an emerging opportunity”

-Linwood Ma, tastytrade CTO

World Business Chicago was proud to partner with Chicago’s own tastytrade for a ThinkChicago Fintech Summit. Founded in 2011, tastytrade currently produces eight hours of live, original programming each weekday to provide financial information, investment strategies, and entertainment related to options trading and the stock market.

As World Business Chicago’s national STEM talent attraction and retention program, ThinkChicago connects top-tier, diverse, talent from across Chicago and around the country with career opportunities in Chicago’s thriving tech & innovation ecosystem. Anchor partners include the University of Illinois System and City Colleges of Chicago, and tastytrade is a 2022 sponsor.

The virtual event welcomed students from University of Illinois at Chicago to connect directly with Linwood Ma, tastytrade’s Chief Technology Officer, who delivered keynote remarks about his tech journey and the evolution of FinTech within the Chicago text ecosystem. He answered attendee’s questions regarding company culture, growth, and the unique opportunities start-ups provide to early tech talent.
