A regional economic collaboration between Chicago and the Seven Counties.

WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

Since January 2023 The Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership, or simply GCEP,  represents a  united strategy by the city of Chicago and the seven counties comprising the Chicagoland to work together to drive inclusive economic development.

GCEP will better represent the region’s combined assets including its extensive freight infrastructure, diverse talent, strong exporting industries, and world-class institutions of innovation, research, and culture.

World Business Chicago (WBC), the city of Chicago’s public-private economic development agency, will manage the Chicagoland Partnership and take a lead in pursuing regional business development to complement the existing municipal and county programs.
