Crain’s Chicago: Mark Tebbe named chair of ChicagoNext

Mark Tebbe, a veteran entrepreneur and investor, is taking over as chairman of ChicagoNext, a city effort for tech-company recruiting and development.

He succeeds J.B. Pritzker as chairman of the group, which was founded in 2012 as part of World Business Chicago, the city’s public-private arm for economic development and business recruiting. Pritzker, managing partner of investment firm Pritzker Group, who helped launch ChicagoNext, becomes chairman emeritus. Its executive director is Phil Nevels.
