In tandem with the WBC’s Community Impact team, the Mayor’s Office, and other key partners, this program aims to challenge the access to capital gap and promote equitable economic development. This multi-phased program connects business owners to technical assistance, funding opportunities, and valuable resources to help scale their operations.
The objective of this 12-week program, beginning in June 2024, is to prepare Black or Latino-owned businesses primed for growth to the capital necessary to take the next step to grow their business. Women and minority-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to apply.
We invite business owners to apply on a rolling basis to our formal application to join the ’24 cohort; the application deadline is April 29th, 2024.

Program Information
Welcome to the Chi Capital Accelerator, a transformative 12-week initiative designed for minority and women-owned businesses in Chicago to prepare business owners to pursue the capital needed to grow and scale their businesses. We aim to empower entrepreneurs with the financial knowledge, technical skills, management, and resources necessary to take their business to the next level.
Through this program, World Business Chicago and its partners provide a fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO), hands-on accounting and tax consulting provided by Badu Tax Services, and consultants to help them address key business challenges and determine the best strategies for business growth and capital opportunities.

About the CI Team
The Community Impact Team supports equitable economic development across the city’s South and West-Sides. As part of that work, we actively support the implementation of the Mayor’s signature INVEST South/West initiative, which you can learn more about here.
