Twenty-Five Teenage Girls from Five Continents will Attend this Year’s Summit in Chicago


World Business Chicago and Chicago Sister Cities International (CSCI) are thrilled to announce the 2019 Global Youth Ambassadors for this year’s Global Youth Ambassadors Leadership Summit taking place July 20–27 in Chicago. Twenty-five girls ages 14–16, from Chicago and its international sister cities, were selected to participate in this year’s summit.

As the largest and most active sister cities organization in the U.S., CSCI is committed to strengthening ties between Chicago and its sister cities around the world. Ten girls from Chicago and 15 from its sister cities have been selected this year. The girls from Chicago live in Brighton Park, Bronzeville, Edison Park, Galewood, Logan Square, North Lawndale, West Englewood, West Lawn and Wicker Park.

This year’s young women hail from the following Chicago schools:

  • Acero Marquez
  • Martin Luther King Junior College Preparatory High School
  • Lane Tech College Preparatory High School
  • Latin School of Chicago
  • Lindbloom Math and Science Academy
  • Northside College Prep
  • Sayre Language Academy
  • Suder Montessori
  • Walter Payton College Prep
  • Whitney M. Young Magnet High School

The 15 international participants are from Chicago’s sister cities including:
