Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Region 2015 Economy Profile Update
Recent information released by World Business Chicago has the economy of the eight Great Lakes States and Ontario and Quebec as a region ranked third in the world behind the US and China. The gross product for the region is listed as $5.507 trillion, and surpassed that of Japan, which had been third in the last report. The report is based on the most recent economic data available, which is through the end of 2013. The region obviously continues to be a major player in the global economy.
