CHICAGO – September 5, 2024 — World Business Chicago is pleased to announce the ratification of two new members to its board of directors: Tony Surma, CTO of Microsoft, and Professor Jeremy O’Brien, co-founder, and CEO of PsiQuantum. These strategic additions come at a pivotal time as Chicago continues to solidify its role as a global leader in quantum computing and advanced technology.
The Chicagoland region has made significant strides in establishing itself as major hubs for innovation, particularly in tech and quantum computing. The region is home to four out of ten national research centers and produces the third-largest number of computer science graduates in the country, making up 10% of all U.S. computer science degrees.
