Ford Motor Company officials recently announced that the company will build the next-generation Explorer SUV at its South Side assembly plant.
The Chinese World Language Program has expanded to 43 schools in Chicago, and enrolls more than 12,000 students. It is currently the largest Chinese language and culture program of its kind in the United States; Last month, the Confucius Institute in Chicago was awarded "2009 Confucius Institute of the Year" by the National Office of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
The company will move from its longtime North Side location to 111 East Wacker Drive in the Illinois Center Complex.
