The Black and Latino Excellence Investment Summit is a multi-phased effort that will provide counsel, connections to support including technical assistance, and ultimately, access to capital for Black and Latino-owned small businesses on Chicago’s South and West-Sides.
This pilot program will connect these business-owners with technical assistance resources and funding opportunities to help scale their operations. The Summit will culminate with an in-person event on June 16 to celebrate and recognize the small business-owners who obtained funding commitments.
In tandem with the Mayor’s Office and other key partners, the Community Impact team’s objective is to challenge the access to capital gap and promote equitable economic development. Read the press release here.

The Community Impact Team supports equitable economic development across the city’s South and West-Sides. As part of that work, we actively support the implementation of the Mayor’s signature INVEST South/West initiative, which you can learn more about here.
