Chicago Ranked “Top Metro” for Corporate Investment

WBC’s new #CenterOfTomorrow video highlights why companies choose Chicago

For the fourth consecutive year, Chicago was ranked “Top Metro” in the United States for corporate investment by Site Selection Magazine. In 2016, the Chicago metro area saw more new and expanding corporate locations than any other area in the country.

“Leading the country in corporate investment means more jobs and opportunities throughout Chicago. The city of Chicago has a bright future, and it is clear that businesses from across the country and around the world want to be part of what we are building here,” said Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Earlier this month KPMG and GE Healthcare announced plans to add more than 1,000 jobs in Chicago and Ohio-based Hickory Farms announced the company is relocating its corporate headquarters to Chicago from Toledo.

The first place ranking is testament to Chicago’s thriving business climate, and WBC’s work to drive inclusive economic growth and job creation, support business, and promote Chicago as a leading global city. WBC created a new video that showcases Chicago as the #CenterOfTomorrow. The video highlights ways to work with WBC and help support Chicago’s continued economic growth. You can watch it below, and please help spread the word by sharing the video across your social networks.
