Chicago Growing, First Quarter 2015

Recently, Textura Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), a leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, announced it will open an innovation center in downtown Chicago in a move that will support recruiting and bring new high-tech jobs to the city.

Textura will occupy 23,400 square feet in One Prudential Plaza at 130 E. Randolph Street and plans to open the new office this summer. The new state-of-the-art facility will house as many as 140 people, with Textura planning to hire more than 50 new positions in the downtown Chicago location in 2015.

“The City of Chicago is a vibrant technology center with a top-notch talent pool. Our new downtown office will help attract the kind of high-caliber talent that has made us a fast-growing technology leader in cutting-edge business solutions,” said Textura Chairman and CEO Patrick Allin.

Similarly, Accordant Media, a leading programmatic media specialist, announced the establishment of a new Chicago office to address the company’s robust Midwestern growth. Accordant Media was recently named to the Inc. 500 list after generating 1,663 percent growth in 2013. he Chicago office is located in the heart of the Loop at 73 W. Monroe Street and is a key U.S. hub for Accordant.

“Chicago has been a quickly growing market for us and the marketer client base here has been strategically aggressive in pursuing programmatic solutions,” said Arthur Muldoon, Accordant CEO and co-founder. “We’re excited at the prospects for expansion in the Midwest region and Chicago will be the linchpin of those efforts.”

Textura and Accordant join a long list of companies growing or expanding in the city. This issue of Chicago Growing identifies 98 growing companies,* illustrated on the interactive map below (red map markers indicate a headquarters):
